It’s not every day you get to go to Paris to have lunch at the Eiffel Tower, so that’s why I put extra work into planning my outfit, such as matching my accessories and coordinating colours. When it comes to looking good, you end up feeling good, and that’s the only feeling anybody wants when exploring a new city.
When I went to Paris earlier this week, I created this look from high street stores (minus the Versace handbag). My main piece was a beige plaid skort, which worked well with gold jewellery and caused me to add my River Island belt to the mix (despite not having belt loops). As the skort was the centrepiece it was best to keep the rest of the outfit as plain as possible, so I chose a black fitted top and puffer jacket; styled with a black baker boy hat (click here to see where you can find one); my red Versace bag and plain white Adidas Superstars. I also added a thin grey chequered scarf, as the grey did not clash with the beige as well as the fact that it was very cold.
See the bottom of this post to find links to the items and ones similar.
Lastly, if you’re from London, then I highly recommended a trip to Paris. My tips: book in advance and go during the week to the get the best deals. When it’s just over a two-hour journey, what’s really stopping you?
